To promote and guide the audience through Quentin's fairy tale version of Hollywood in 1969, the "Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood" magazine was born. A style late 60s gossip magazine that was authentic to 1969, setting off the film so precisely Quentin Tarantino said the magazine "was required reading".
The digital version received over 300k page views, 300k+ site visits, and 250k+ unique visitors. A 5k physical version was printed and distributed at the LA premiere, and 100k was distributed to theatre chains in America, Canada, and Australia.
